Meet The Team

Wassef is the co-founder and CEO of Wayu Energy Pte. Ltd., leading a unique team that is investing in utility, commercial & industrial scale, floating solar and off-grid solar PV power projects across Southeast and Northeast Asia. Prior to that, Wassef co-founded Adenium Energy Capital Ltd. in 2010 and served as its CEO until 2020. Adenium developed over 750 MW of utility scale projects across MENA, Italy and Japan. Wassef was also co-founder and Chairman of Yellow Door Energy Ltd. until 2021, which today is MENA’s largest commercial and industrial solar developer with over 300MW of C&I PV projects.

 

Wassef is a member of YPO (Young President’s Organization). Wassef holds an MBA from Queen’s University in Toronto, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.

Youssef is the Chief Strategy Officer of Wayu Energy Pte. Ltd. Prior to that, Youssef was Adenium Energy Capital, Ltd.’s Chief Legal Officer, Adenium developed over 750 MW of utility scale projects across MENA, Italy and Japan. In 2011, he co-founded Starbow, a regional airline based out of Accra, Ghana. He also worked in private practice as a solicitor at the London offices of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

 

Youssef is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales. He holds an LLB from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Economics and History from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Amro is the Chief Investment Officer of Wayu Energy Pte. Ltd. Prior to that, Amro was Belectric's Commercial Director, and Adenium Energy Capital, Ltd.’s Vice President of Project Management, were he developed nearly 1GW of C&I and utility scale projects, as well as BESS, across MEA

 

Amro holds an MBA from the University of Manchester in UK, and a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences and environmental geography from the University of Toronto in 

Hardik is the Finance Director of Wayu Energy Pte. Ltd. He is a Certified Financial Accountant with 17+ year of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Project finance, Due Diligence, M&A, Budgeting and Forecasting, as well as Statutory compliance. He also has an extensive working experience in Renewable Projects.

Hardik holds a Master’s degree in Accounts from the Manukau Institute of Technology in New Zealand and a Bachelor of Accounts from Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad University, India.
